Dubai has a newly opened tourist attraction that’s expected to draw more tourists to the city in the coming months. The View at the Palm is an observation deck offering stunning panoramic views of the city and the surrounding desert. Located 780 feet (240 meters) at the top floor of The Palm Tower, the View is now one of the highest observation decks in the world. Therefore, you should definitely add The View to your list of things to do in Dubai.
The View offers guests the chance to see and appreciate the beauty of Palm Jumeirah from an elevated view. Visitors will get to see modern exhibitions and shopping and dining options at the Palm Tower. They will also be able to see a theater exhibit and interactive aquarium tunnels. Guests can use QR codes all over the tour to access information in different languages.
What to Expect at The View
The View at the Palm is surrounded by movable glass partitions. However, visitors can enjoy clear, 360 degree views of Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf, and the Dubai city skyline. On top of marvelous view from hundreds of feet above the ground, the observatory has a lot more to offer.
The View features an interactive museum with cutting-edge exhibits that tell the story of how Palm Jumeirah came to be. as a result, these exhibits include satellite view images projected onto interactive maps, miniature underwater representations, and animated rainbows culled from flowing sands.
A VIP lounge spanning 120 sq. meters gives visitors access to an outdoor terrace with splendid views. Therefore, the lounge has public facilities for wireless connectivity, audio-visual equipment, and meal services. However, it is open to booking for corporate events, conferences, fashion shows, community events, and more.
Brand New Viewing Experience
The View at the Palm is a project developed by Nakheel. The property development firm is responsible for many of Dubai’s innovative landmark projects. These include Jumeirah Islands, Deira Islands, Al Furjan, The Gardens, The World, Dragon City, and Palm Jumeirah itself. According to Omar Khoory, Nakheel chief assets and hospitality officer, the View is sure to attract both national and local tourists.
“Our research indicated that about 60 to 70 percent of Dubai’s tourists visit Palm Jumeirah, however, they can’t see the architecture of the island from it,” he said to Arabian Business. “This is why we decided that we need a viewing deck from where all tourists can see a 360 degrees view of the Palm.”
The View at the Palm can currently accommodate up to 300 people at a time. Full capacity is 8,000 people per day. The venue will be limiting visitors for the time being due to COVID-19 restrictions. Travel authorities are anticipating a huge increase in tourist visits early as May. The View may well be operating at full capacity sooner than later.
